How long has Creekside Kennel been in business?
We are continually updating and improving what was an older kennel.  We took over the kennel and renamed it Creekside Kennel in June 2000.

How many runs do you have?
Creekside Kennel can accommodate up to 50 pets.  Compared to mass volume pet care, we pride ourselves on the individual care and attention each guest receives. We suggest making boarding reservations early in advance, especially during summer and the holiday seasons.  We have 50 rooms for dogs and 10 kitty condos.

How often does my pet get to go outside?
The dogs go out four times daily.  On a typical day, dogs go out at 7:00am , 11:00am , 3:00pm and 7:00pm .  Depending on the weather and time of year they may stay out longer as weather permits.

Can I bring my own food or medication?
Yes! Any treats or food are welcome. We normally feed at 8:00am and at 5:00pm with a cookie break at noon . There is a refrigerator in the kitchen for anything that must be kept cool.  If you bring your own food it must be in individual zip-loc bags and labeled.  We do not accept bags of dog food or large containers.  Otherwise, we will provide Bil-jac, or Iams for meals.  We use either Bil-jac or peanut butter to administer medication for a fee of $1.00, or it may be placed in your individual labeled daily food bags at no additional charge.

Can I bring toys or bedding?
We limit toys to two and prefer that you not bring dog beds or bedding from home. Keep in mind we do not guarantee return of these items.  Please only bring items you consider to be "disposable". Do not bring your pet's favorite toy. It may not come home with you. Bring new things that will stimulate your pet's interest. We supply each room with a hammock-like Kuranda bed and soft bedding.  If you must leave a bed or bedding we will charge a $5.00 handling fee.

What are your hours?
Our hours are Monday thru Friday 8:00 to 6:00 , Saturday 8:00 to 4:00 , and Sunday 4:00 to 6:00 .  These hours are strict to keep our guests on schedule.  If you need to pick-up before, or after hours there is a $25.00 fee.  This service must be prearranged and approved by management. Check-in form and directions at www.creeksidekennel.com.

What type of payment do you accept?
We accept Visa, MasterCard, cash and checks. Payment is due when your animal is picked up.  If someone else is picking your animal up you may leave your credit card # and it will be charged at that time not before.

Is it a daily or nightly charge?
We charge by the day not by the night.  We feed and clean and spend time with your dog during our daily potty-breaks.  You may check in at anytime during our regular hours. But regardless of when your pet arrives, the first day counts as a full boarding day.  If you check out before 11:00 a.m. you will not incur a charge for the departing day.  Sunday pick-up will incur a full day boarding fee. Holiday weeks are a 3 day minimum charge.

When can we tour the kennel?
You are welcome to visit our facility in advance of your pet’s stay.  Tours are available on Tuesday through Thursday 1:00 pm and 6:00pm ONLY, but you must pre-schedule your tour with our staff.  We like to keep the kennel as peaceful as possible; strangers in and out all day are stressful to some of our quests.  We thank you for understanding.

May I take my dog to its room and say goodbye?
We do not allow visiting in the back of the kennel.  We try to provide the most stress-free stay for our guests and if strangers are continually in and out of the kennel it is very upsetting to the dogs. Please be considerate to all of our guests.

  Which vaccines do you require?
We require DHLPPC, Rabies and kennel cough vaccines given within a year’s time. We also require your pet to be on a flea preventative.  We do not accept puppies less than 12 weeks old and they must have a minimum of three series of puppy shots plus rabies, and kennel cough.  We also do not accept dogs that have been in a shelter 14 days prior to their kennel visit due too the incubation period of contagious viruses.
